Day Eight / NW Trip

We departed Bug Central (better known as Lake Easton State Park) at 11:00 am. We don't have a long way to travel today so we got a late start. Besides it gives the bugs a chance to finish breakfast. Dad decided to take the back roads today and he wanted to see Snoqualmie Falls but when we got there they had no place to park the RLB so we just got to wave as we drove by.
We arrived at the Masonic Park just east of Granite Falls around 1:30 pm. This is a special park that only Masons can stay in. We were allowed in because Mom and Dad know a real life Mason and also because they know the secret handshake.
This park is way down in the forest, it's like a rain forest. It is kind of rustic but really cool. We do have electricity and water but no cell service, no internet and no tv reception. Fortunately we had company so I didn't have to watch Mom beat Dad at scrabble again. Jim (the real life Mason) came up with his two kids and camped with us. We took a stroll around part of the park and saw the river that runs through it. This place may be rustic but there aren't near as many bugs here. We did see some fawns and Jim says there are possibly bobcats and coyotes here. I'm not worried though cause I am a booney cat and Mom is a cougar so we have them all beat.
There is a fireplace in the outdoor cabana so Dad and Jim had a good fire going. After dinner we made smores. This is the first time I have ever had a smore and I want s-more.
After dinner Dad and Jim smoked cigars and we all tried on funny hats that a camper next to us had.
Don't know why someone travels with all those hats. Must be a Masonic thing. Maybe they need them for the secret rituals.
