Day Two

OMG what a night. Mom and Pop (aka Jo and Eric) went to the casino and came out winners. We are now three dollars richer. The night went down hill from there. This  RLB (rolling litter box) was rocking all night and not in a good way. The wind was blowing about 30 miles per hour with gusts up to 50. It actually blew the wheel chocks out from under the tires. And of course it rained like crazy.

This morning it was still blowing and raining and with much hand ringing from Mom it was decided that we should get underway. We departed Coos Bay with our casino winnings intact at 9:45 am . Pop did a good job of keeping the RLB on the road. We are averaging  9.7 miles per gallon and with diesel prices here in  California around $4.15 a gallon there goes that $3.00.  Today we traveled  about 250 miles and we are now anchored in Fortuna, Ca. Right now no rain and very little wind. Lets hope it stays that way overnight. I need some rest.
Those people I live with are having potatoes, onions and Spam for dinner tonight. Apparently Spam is a special meat/ham concoction that only  people can appreciate. I am really glad I have cat food.
Until tomorrow!

  2. Weezie, the bright light outside the RLB is the sun. I know you are unacustom to this but you will adjust to it in the next few days. You will be able to do your 'business' in the beautiful outdoors and leave the people to 'mess' in the RLB.
The word is spreading around here at your ancestrial home (Tennga, GA) that you are on your way. I am affraid there may be fewer relatives to greet you than you might have expected. US Highway 411 is a very busily travelled road...if you know what I mean.

  3. Dear Weezer,
I saw GWs first comment about notifying the "Blues Brothers" of your much anticipated visit...don't be fooled! They are known locally as the "Hoodlums" and there is no telling what they might try. Just look at my sliding glass door and the big windows in the sunroom...they are streaked with cat paw mud as they continue to attempt to enter through the glass (not the brightest bulbs in the pack). When you get here you may also notice a banging noise - that would be Chongo hanging on to the screen door at eye-level trying to get our attention because he's hungry. And I won't even begin to tell you about Molly and what may be in store with her. Prepare yourself little girl for your visit to your place of origin - things have changed.

  5. Weezie, do you remember GoTee? He is an American Tuxedo(he was abandonned at birth or maybe abducted like you). He is rather handsome and distinguished but getting older like his people. I ask if he remembered you but he just stared at me...his people stare a lot also.
