Day Three

What a difference a day makes. Sunshine and no rain on the drive today. We got underway at 9:15 am and arrived in Santa Rosa, Ca at
1:30 pm. Only 206 miles. Seemed like so much more.
Pops had to fill up the tank and jumped at the chance to pay $4.05 a gallon. A few miles down the road he could have got it for $3.85. That really made him happy.  He calculated that he could have saved $3.00 if he had waited. Well so much for our casino winnings. He was getting 10.5 miles per gallon. Must have had a tail wind going.
I did overhear a conversation they had about who should play them when MY blog is made into a movie.
Goldie Hahn and Brad Pitt are the big winners. Really!  My thought is more Rosanne Barr and Jeff Bridges.
Apparently driving long distances makes you delirious.
Staying at the Family Motor Lodge. Not a bad place. At least the price is right. And they have nice people there who like to pet me.
The rain is now back. Looks like it could be following us. Can't wait to walk in the sunshine.
Well three days down and only 46 days to go.
But who's counting.

  1. ...the way prices at the pump are climbing daily I suspect your man-person will be wishing he could buy fuel for $4anything!
You might suggest y'all all pee in the tank, I think that is bio-fuel? I heard on the news where people were seeking releaf at the pump...maybe this is what they meant.
