Day 13

Texas is BIG. Very BIG! And Hot Hot Hot. Today it got up to 89 degrees. I don't know about ya'll but this fur coat gets warm. Today I sat in the front seat so I could get the air conditioning. It's suppose to get a little cooler as we go farther east. We saw lots of Texas plains and flattop mountains. I may have seen a Jackalope or two but I'm not sure cause they are pretty fast.
We left Ft Bliss, Texas at 9:00 am and somewhere between there and here we lost another hour. We even had to go through a border patrol stop. They brought a dog out to smell the RLB but I guess Mom cleaned it pretty good cause he didn't find anything. Good thing cause I don't have my papers.
Today we traveled 255 miles and we are staying in Ft Stockton, Texas. They have roadrunners here. In town they have a statue of one. It weighs 800 pounds. I don't think I would like to cach that one. Nice Rv park but kind of dusty.
Even though it was a long travel day Dad is outside grilling chicken for us. Well I think it is chicken could be roadrunner. He must be happy cause he got 12.8 mpg today.
I'm having a little trouble posting pictures but if I ever get it figured out I will go back and post some.
Another long travel day tomorrow. We will be driving over 300 miles.

Possible roadrunner sighting
