Day 31

Good thing we got our rest yesterday because today we really got a workout.
We started out early for Lookout Mountain in Tennessee but got a little side tracked at the Chickamauga
Battlefield. This is where some very important battles took place during the Civil War. If you want to know anything about it you can ask Dad because he read every single plaque. After he got through reading everything, and Mom threatened to go shoppimg in the gift store, we again headed to Lookout Mountain.
We stopped for a ride on the Incline Railway. This railway goes straight up the mountain side. It is the worlds steepest passenger railway. It took us to the top of Lookout Mountain where we visited Point Park. this is where some other famous battles took place. Again, ask Dad,  he read everything there too.
After that we went to Ruby Falls. What is it about these people and rocks. This time we went inside a mountain and went underground about half a mile to see a waterfall. It was pretty cool and a little scary being down there. Then we went to Chattanooga and saw the Chattanooga Choo Choo and the bank where Aunt Sue works.  We sure had a busy day.
Tomorrow we will be leaving here to continue our journey.
We sure have had a nice time here in my ancestrial homeland. I will be sad to leave.
