We left the Mayflower County Park in Blythe, Ca. at 9:15 am this morning and just a few minutes down the road we were in Arizona. We lost an hour somewhere in there but Mom says we will find it on the way home.
Thanks to a man Dad met at the RV park he was able to get diesel for $3.79 a gallon. Everywhere else it was over $4.00. That made him happy.
Arizona is pretty warm. It got as high as 78 degrees. Lots of cactus, sagebrush and mountains.
We only drove 165 miles today and arrived at the Desert Shadows RV Resort in Phoenix. This place is great. Reminds me of the movie "Cocoon" only with RLBs everywhere.
I think they really like cats here because dogs have to walk in a special area but cats are allowed to go anywhere. Hey - don't blame me it is in the resort handbook. Even the RLBs have pictures of big cats on them.
Grandma should think about moving here because they have lots of activities and she could be the mayor.
We will be here until Wednesday so I think I will be able to get lots of sleep.
So
- Goodnight
Hi weezie. I guess you stayed between the green lines so they let you leave Edwards AFB. I didn’t hear from you for a couple of days and got an upset stomach from worry, but now I can go back to eating. It is raining in San Diego .10 inch and with the prevailing winds it will probably get to the ballpark at game time. If you go to a game with Eric be sure to bring an umbrella. It seems you are headed in the right direction to arrive in Tennga someday. I tried to explain how wolves find their way with our noses to some doubting humans, but they don’t understand after leaving Washington DC. the scent travels all the way around since the earth is round not flat. Mere humans will never understand navigation by nose.
