What part of time change do these people not understand? You would think that after being fooled twice into waking up earlier than neccessary they would have figured it out by now. But oh no. This morning Dad got up at 5:45 am. Of course he said we could stay sleeping, but come on now, how big does he think this RLB is? You can practically hear what people are thinking much less all that morning stuff they do (and I know y'all know what I'm talking about). Anyway as it turns out he forgot, again, to set the alarm clock forward an hour so it was really 4:45 am. I'm a cat. I need my rest.
Since we were all up anyway he decided to hit the road and head for Phoenix. It was a really short drive today only 150 miles. Good thing since we were all still practically asleep. Dad got 12.2 miles per gallon but his happiness was somewhat diluted because the diesel prices here are $4.19.
It was raining the whole way here but one we arrived it stopped and every once in awhile the sun comes out just to tease us. We are staying at the Desert Edge RV Park. Nice park with lots of trees and at least we aren't the smallest RLB in the joint.
Looks like we will be here until tomorrow and then the decision will be made to go to the Grand Canyon or not. Right now they have a foot of snow up there but I think we might just tough it out and go. I just won't be riding any donkeys down the canyon that's for sure.
Sorry no pictures today since there wasn't much to look at except rain. Guess I could have taken a picture of Dad when he finally beat Mom in a game of scrabble. He was pretty happy. It's been a long time.
