Day 38 and 39 / Spring Road Trip 2012

Today we decided to hang around the RLB and dry out from yesterdays soaking. Originally we were going to go on a riverboat cruise but we have pretty much had our fill of Cincinnati. Of course todays weather was great. Oh well at least we got to roast marshmallows by the campfire.
We got underway Tuesday morning at 10:00 headed to Michigan. Not a lot to say about the Ohio countryside. It was kind of boring.
Findley, Ohio
We did however go by the town of Findley, Ohio that Congress desinated "Flag City USA" in 1974 because on Flag Day every citizen and business flies the American Flag. How cool is that?
We also went by Wapakoneta, Ohio which is the hometown of Neil Armstrong, who on July 20, 1969 became the first person to walk on the moon.
Finally we arrived in Monroe, Michigan, the hometown of General George Custer. We are staying at the Harbortown RV Resort. Call it a resort if you want but it's still a trailer park to me.

The Resort!
Michigan makes the 27th state I have been in and most importantly I get a new sticker for the RLB.
It also makes the 49th state that Mom has been to and now she and Dad are even. One more to go.
The excitement is almost too much for me.
Dayton, OH

Michigan at last
