We left Lordsburg, N.M. at 9:30 this morning. We only drove 180 miles. Gas prices seem to be getting better the farther east we go ( either that or we are just numb ). Today we paid $3.78. That and the 12.2 mpg we got made Dad a happy camper. Today we crossed the Continental Divide. According to Dad that is like crossing the Equator on a ship and since he thinks this RLB is his own little ship he thought we should shave our heads.. Thankfully Mom was able to talk him out of it.
We have put our bedrolls down for the night in the West Texas town of El Paso. Mom and Dad even took me to Rosa's Cantina. For all you Marty Robbins fans you'll know what I'm talking about. It was pretty cool and the beer was good too.
We are staying at the Ft Bliss RV park.
Well we have a long day ahead of us tomorrow about 250 miles so I guess I better hit the sack.

Hi weezie,
ReplyDeleteJust this morning I heard there was a tsunami in Oregon. It wasn’t big so I guess your SLB (stationary litter box) is OK. Also someone here was saying that the diesel price in Mexico is $2.48 a gallon. You should tell Eric about that price. You shouldn’t go with him because if you get lost you might end up as part of a street taco.
Adios,
Rmona
