Day 13 / NW Trip

After all the hype about the wonderful weather here in Sequim we woke up this morning to,  you guessed it... RAIN. They are suppose to have 300 days of sunshine and we just happen to be here on one of the few days of precipitation. It looks mighty suspicious to me.
We spent most of the day driving around (in the rain) looking at properties for sale. We saw lots of them, some nice some not so nice.  Fortunately the folks forgot thier checkbook so we didn't buy anything.
We also drove out to the Dungeness National Wildlife Preserve. I didn't see too much wildlife though.
I should have gotten out of the truck shown everyone what a Tennganese Booney Cat looks like.  That would have given them all a thrill.
From there we could see Port Angeles across the Strait of Juan De Fuca. Very pretty even though it was overcast. At least it had stopped raining for a few minutes.
We also went out to the John Wayne Marina. The Duke donated the land to them for the Marina years ago. He used to come here to sail his boat The Wild Goose.
We (and by we I mean they) didn't go berry picking because of the weather.  Guess they'll just have to go pick them at Safeway.
Tomorrow we are off to Pacific Beach, Wa.
G'night
