Day Fourteen / NW Trip

We got underway this morning at 10:20 am. It was sunny and 70 degrees. Why is it always sunny on the days we are leaving?
Dad got fuel before we left and diesel was only $3.99 a gallon at an Indian casino gas station. We saw it as low as $3.75 on our drive so hopefully that is a good omen.
We took Hwy 101  South to Port Angeles and then through the Olympic National Forest. Once we got along the coast of Washington the weather took a turn for the worse and it was overcast and a little drizzely (is that a word?)
We went by Lake Crescent, which was beautiful and crystal clear. The went went through Forks, Wa.,
which for all you teeny boppers and teeny bopper wannabes, is where they filmed the TV series Twilight.  You know vampires and werewolves and such. Didn't see a single one by the way.
It was a very nice drive, only 168 miles but it took us four hours.
We are staying in Pacific Beach, Wa. tonight and tomorrow night. the  RV park is at a Navy Recreation area called Pacific Beach Resort. Our campsite is right on a cliff overlooking the Pacific ocean.
Not too shabby. They even have a hot tub and a sauna. Wanna guess where I will be tomorrow?
