Day Five / NW Trip

We said goodbye to Klaus and Char this morning at 10:45 am. We were a little late getting on the road because, yep you guessed it, Mom was still talking.
When we finally got underway we headed north on Hwy 55 and followed the Payette River pretty much all the way up to New Meadows, where Dad stopped for fuel and paid $4.15 a gallon. Of course we saw it for $3.99 a little later but oh well, Happy Fathers Day. We then got on Hwy 95. We then took that all the way to Lewiston, Idaho and there we crossed over to Washington, anchoring in Clarkston at the Granite Lake RV Park. It is right on the Snake River. A total of 240 miles. Lots of hills and one very long one so mpg was only 11.6.
Dinner on Fathers Day was hot dogs. Dads choice not mine.
The weather here is nice, about 75 degrees and sunny. I may not want to leave.
Finally got Idaho
