Day Four / NW Trip

We woke up this morning to drizzle that eventually turned into the real thing.
Just like home. We can’t seem to get away from the wet stuff.
The girls, Mom, Char, Stacy ( Chars' daughter) and  Katy (Chars' granddaughter) all went to the Farmers Market in Crouch. Mom got some local jams. Good stuff. Then they went on a tour of the new mercantile that they are building there. They aren't actually done with it yet and it won't be open for at least another week  or two but they were giving tours and you won't believe how many people were there for the tour. This is a big deal in Crouch, Idaho.
Then Klaus took us for a ride up on the Sawtooth Mountains.   The Payette River runs through there and boy was it running hard. I had no desire to go rafting on it that's for sure. But it sure is pretty up here and when they get snow they ride their snowmobiles up the mountain.
Of course now Mom has added riding a snowmobile to her bucket list. That list is getting longer not shorter.
Apparently we also landed into a full blown 13 year olds birthday party. We picked the weekend to visit that a surprise party was being held for one of the granddaughters. Lots of kids running around and riding on four wheelers. Dad looked a little overwhelmed by it all.  But we really had a good time and the food was good and hey we even got cake and ice cream.
Hard to believe but Mom is still talking. I think she may be overstimulated. Maybe it was that chocolate cake.
Well all this fun has made me tired so it's off to bed.
