Day Eighteen / Spring Trip 2012

Today we went to the National World War I Memorial in Kansas City. We got there as soon as they opened just in case Dad needed extra time. I mean they are only open for seven hours!
WWI is known as "The Great War".  The Memorial was pretty impressive. They had so much information. It was a little overwhelming.
Mom and I lasted for about two and a half hours and then we went out to the truck and read a book while we waited for Dad. After four hours he finally showed up. He looked a little glazed over. I think he was over stimulated.
After that we went for more barbeque. We went to a place called Oklahoma Joe's and it is in a Gas Station. Who would have thought it, but it has the best barbeque in Kansas City (you can trust me on that cause I know barbeque).
The weather today went from 44 degrees in the morning to 87 degrees by 4:00 pm. Tomorrow it is suppose to get to 90 degrees but we will be on our way to St. Louis before that happens.
