Day Seventeen / Spring Trip 2012

Harry S. Truman was our 33rd President and until today I didn't know (or care) too much about him. Today we visited the Harry S. Truman Library in Independence, MO. It was very interesting and we learned  a whole lot about him. Did you know that it was him that decided to drop  the atomic bomb
on Japan? It was pretty cool learning all the stuff about him but you really never want to get Dad near
a museum or library or any thing that has to do with history. Mom and I finally went out and sat in the truck and Dad came out after about two and a half hours.  I think he felt sorry for us.
We then drove to the house that Harry and Bess used as the summer White House and eventually lived in after he was no longer the President.
Great weather today. Sunny and about 65 degrees. I got to spend some time outside in my funhouse and then we got to roast marshmallows.
Tomorrow we are going to the National WWI museum. This time I'm bringing a book and some snacks!
