Day Fifteen / Sring Trip 2012

Up bright and early this morning. We are headed to Missouri by way of Iowa. Now I know that isn't exactly the proper course, however, if we detour up to Iowa I can get a sticker for my RLB map. I guess it's my own private "bucket list". I pouted and meowed a little bit and Dad caved in. Geez it was only about 50 miles out of the way if you don't count that Nebraska was already off the beaten path.  With fuel prices at an all time low of $3.82 a gallon it wasn't too bad.  Anyway we went to Iowa, the Hawkeye State, and then drove on down to Missouri, the Show me State.
We  had to cross over the Missouri River. Missouri  is really green. Kind of reminds me of home.
We are staying near Kansas City at the Blue Springs Campground in the Jackson County. There are wild turkeys in the woods behind us.
Kansas City is the home of the Kansas City Royals and the Worlds Best Bar B Que.
Tomorrow we will be experiencing both.
