Today didn't start out to well. But then again it is Friday the 13th and I am a black cat. What did I expect?
We were going to get underway at 0800 but last night the temperature dropped down to below 30 degrees and we woke up to a half and inch of ice on the roof. So we weren't able to bring the slide in until Dad chipped it all off. We got rolling about an hour later and fortunately we didn't have any further problems.
Not a lot going on in South Eastern Wyoming. It was windy, cold and barren. We did pass Elk Mountain and that was nice but I can safely say we aren't moving here.

As soon as we got to Colorado, The Centennial State, things got a lot better. Lots of trees and greenery. And the mountains..... talk about a Rocky Mountain high. Now I know what John Denver was singing about. Beautiful. We drove through Denver and saw the new home of Peyton Manning. Mom was pretty excited about that.

After Denver we headed to the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. We will be here for six days . They say there are bears here but so far I haven't seen any and hopefully I never will.
