Day Ten / Spring Trip 2012

This morning we woke up to 29 degrees weather and one frozen water pipe. Dad had to take a hair dryer to it and all was well. He can wield a pretty mean hair dryer.
We took off and headed north to Golden, Colorado.

It was named that because of the gold mining that was done there back in the 1800's. I think it was named that because of the color of Coors beer because Golden is the home of the Coors Brewery. Needless to say we toured the brewery. I mean, free beer what more could Dad ask for. Mom had  beer that I think was made out of roots cause they called it root beer.
After the tour we walked thru the town of Golden. I loved this town, statues on every corner and even a Astor Hotel. We then drove up Lookout Mountain. We got up to 7500 Feet. The mountain overlooks the town and the brewery and Buffalo Bill is buried up there.

Tomorrow we are going to downtown Denver and a ballgame.
