Day Two / Spring 2012 Trip

Last night the folks went to the casino. Needless to say we aren't rich yet, however they didn't lose either so I guess that is a good thing. I'll have cat food for a little longer. At least that's what I thought until we had to fill up the tank and at $4.43 a gallon things are looking a little bleaker.
Today was a non driving day. Yea!!! We spent the day in Pendleton. The weather was great, right around 63 degrees and lots of sunshine. I am not missing Astoria right now.
Pendleton reminds me of what the old west must have been like. Lots of old buildings and horse stuff.
There were even metal rings in the street to tie your horses too. This is where all the woolen Pendleton shirts, blankets and hats come from.
Most of the stores and museums were closed because it was Easter but Mom managed to find one and Dad bought her an Easter Bonnet.
The weather was so nice Dad grilled steak and we ate outside. We are definitely not in Astoria anymore. I even got to play in my "fun house".
Tomorrow we are headed to Idaho. On the road again.

A real Cowboy?
