Day 34 / Spring Road Trip 2012

We departed Crossville, TN at 0900. Of course five miles down the road we somehow lost an hour ( I don't know how they keep losing those things). Fortunately we didn't have far to go. Today we were headed to Sevierville, TN., the hometown of Dolly Parton and where Dollywood is located.
Once we got settled in at the campsite we headed for Parrotsville (the third oldest town in Tennessee) which is where Mom and Dads' friends Heather and John live. I didn't see a single Parrot but I did see lots of ducks. Heather rescues ducks that have been hurt or abandoned. If I were a duck I would want to live there.
They live in a log cabin on a mountain top and have a wonderful view of the Great Smokey Mountains. They also have two cats and a dog named Cracka. Heather rescued him too.

On our way back to Sevierville we passed by the town of Chestnut Hill, TN which is the home of Bushs' Baked Beans. Then we toured downtown Sevierville. They sure like Dolly here.
