Day 42 / Spring Road Trip 2012

Dad at the Toledo waterfromt
Toledo, hometown of Cpl. Maxwell Klinger aka Jamie Farr. Today we went for lunch at Tony Packos in Toledo. Tony Packos is a Hungarian restaurant that was made famous by Klinger when he mentioned it on M*A*S*H. They are celebrating their 80th anniversary this year. Mostly they are famous for their hotdogs and chili. Now you would think the folks would be tired of hotdogs after all these ballgames but oh no. I must say they were pretty good dogs though.
After lunch we went to downtown Toledo. They have a triple A ballteam called the Toledo Mudhens so we went to look at their ballpark. Now we all know Mom has a problem with jerseys so I can't really blame her. Dad on the other hand should have known better.  He took her into the Mudhens team store (what was he thinking?) and of  course Mom started drooling over the jerseys. Needless to say she now owns another one. I think she needs an intervention.
